REVISE

Retired Educator Volunteers for Isolated Children’s Education

SUPPORTING ISOLATED STUDENT’S LEARNING

REVISE is a volunteer organisation which provides qualifed education workers to support the learning of isolated students. REVISE teachers travel to remote locations for placements which are usually of three to six weeks duration. While on placement REVISE teachers work with School of the Air (SOTA) staff, supervising children’s lessons. The placement supports or in many cases provides respite for the usual supervisor (mother or governess).

REVISE teachers work mainly within South Australia, but some placements also occur in Western New South Wales and South Western Queensland.
